MEXICAN TRUCKS TO BE ALLOWED ON US HIGHWAYS

TRUCKS

In a trial program, 100 Mexican Trucking companies will be allowed to cross into the US, bringing Mexican goods to the US. This was supposed to be part of the NAFTA agreement that President Clinton signed off on, but that part of the deal has never been inforced.

The one problem I see is that those trucks could be carrying more than Mexican products to the US. Illegals are trucked in everyday as it is.

I don't know why anyone is surprised, It was in the NAFTA Bill. It just took a long time for them to implement that provision. If I understand it right, the truckers who enter the country must speak English, but we all know how well these laws are enfoced. Only time will tell if they are using the trucks to smuggle things other than goods across the Border. Hopefully there is a way to track them once the enter the Country and move to their destination.
