MAN WITH RARE FORM OF TB HOSPITALIZED

QUARANTINED

The Center of Disease Control are asking anyone who flew on two transatlantic flights with one particular man, to be examine for a drug resistant form of tuberculosis. The man flew out of Atlanta to Paris and 12 days later, after learning he had a very dangerous form of teburculosis called XDR-TB, flew back, going from the Czech Capital of Prague to Montreal, Canada. From there, he drove to NYC to Bellvue hospital. There he met with CDC officals that flew him on their plane back to Atlanta. When the CDC found out that he had the XDR strain of TB, they ordered him quarantined. It's the first Government issued quarantine since a smallpox patient was ordered quarantined in 1963.
